From The Alternate Root:  The vocals of Melanie Storrusten are the clarion call welcoming listeners into Together, the recent release from Three People, the band that pairs Melanie (acoustic guitar) with Eric Norman (acoustic/electric guitar, vocals), and Pete Helfrich (bass, BG vocals). The trio tackle Gillian Welch, covering the songwriter’s “Tear My Stillhouse Down”, kicking bootlegging to the curb upon their passing as they tenderly hush the rhythms for a lovers stroll in “Stay with Me”, and admit to feeling love from afar with “Gone but Not Gone Away”. Together is the second release from the Atlanta, Georgia-based trio. Three People make their way across the Atlantic Ocean to trapse the backalleys of foreign lands for “The Girl” as they stay Southern as they gossip out loud, making promises to never return to “Birmingham”.
